Black Summer for me...great action and a cool political spin on super heroes.

I voted for Black Summer... but Nextwave was all kinds of fun.

I picked Fell because of the art. Doktor Sleepless is very good, though. I think Ellis is too cynical for a bright n' shiny genre like super-heroes, so I didn't bother with the other two.

Doesn't he write Newuniversal, and what happened to that?
Or was that someone else?

He's also got Desolation Jones going, which I forgot about. I know that book was having artist problems, and JH Williams was replaced, but I'm not sure where things are with the new artist.

I thought so. I would have checked myself, but I'm here in this chair.
I thought it was pretty good. Maybe I would like some of this other stuff.

Newuniversal and Desolation Jones are on hiatus so they can get a bunch of issues in the can with new artists (both titles had artist problems/switches)...brilliant books..i highly recommend both of them.

I just finished the first trade of Planetary. Loved it. See AmazWAN thread where I ordered the next two trades.
I'm in for all of this one (and the forlorn looking to the future for a finish).
And I sense this will lead to me reading The Authority, perhaps.

The only Ellis works I've read have been Global Frequency and the "Extremis" story in Iron Man.
