From Ryko's release list. I can't tell if this is solo or a full band concert.

Releasing 5/8/07 in the US:

Live At XM Satellite Radio – The Deluxe Edition
Mason, Dave
Dave Mason, the co-founder of Traffic, world class guitarist/vocalist delivers his first album in several years. Recently recorded live in front of an intimate crowd at the famous XM studios, Dave re-visits some of his finest material from his original “ Alone Together” album, his biggest hit “ We Just Disagree”, plus Traffic staples “ Dear Mr. Fantasy” and “ Feelin’ Allright”. As a bonus, this cd has 3 extra tracks including a very rare studio duet with the late Traffic member Jim Capaldi on his epic “ 40,000 Headmen”, plus a great new tune “ Deaf, Dumb and Blind”

Track Listing:

Introduction
World In Changes
Only You Know And I Know
We Just Disagree
Dave Mason Interview
Look At You, Look At Me
Dear Mr. Fantasy
All Along The Watchtower
Feelin’ Allright
Closing

Bonus Tracks:
Take It To The Limit ( Live in California)
40,000 Headmen ( Duet w/ Jim Capaldi)
Deaf, Dumb and Blind ( new studio track)

it has been 20 years ('two hearts' - 1987) since dave mason has put out a new studio album.

he did contribute 2 songs to the ill-fated fleetwood mac "time" album.

Is this really a "new *studio* album"?
It contains one unreleased track with the late Jim Capaldi, and what is described as one new studio tune “Deaf, Dumb and Blind”. That's two tracks, plus one unreleased live track of another old tune ("Take It To The Limit").

The majority of this is from an XM satellite performance, and those seven tracks consist of old Dave Mason tunes.

Mason has been around a very long time, and considering his last studio album Two Hearts came out 20 some years ago... has had plenty of time to develop and put out a new CD, rather than recycle his past yet another time.
Maybe this is all he is capable of anymore... and maybe this is a passable and pleasant enough CD but... I would really like to see him write new material.

Has anyone noticed how many Mason comps are out there?
Another recently just came out as The Definitive Collection.

I read just recently in the NY Post that Mason is working on a new studio album, called Alone Together Again. Nothing like trading on past glories.

His official website is running a contest for a copy of this live CD, one of the questions is "What is the name of his new studio CD?"

I remember hearing this broadcast a couple years back. It's absolutely astounding. Mason's band is top-notch. I definitely plan on picking up this release.

Thanks for the info, Geff R!
