Would love to get just the Battle of the Bands disc, not the other albums... Would love an improved-sounding single disc of hits... Missed opportunity.

I bought a number of Turtles reissues on the Laserlight label years ago at Tower. They were inexpensive, but went OOP in no time. I think they all had bonus tracks.
But I'm in for these, absolutely.

The Laserlight Turtle CDs were all just budget comps. The original albums were re-released by Sundazed with bonus tracks. I have been on a Turtles run lately- last year I picked up a few of the Laserlight and Sundazed CDs, as well as a sealed original LP of Turtle Soup and my wife just gave me the vinyl reissue of Happy Together and a CD 2-fer of the first two Flo and Eddie albums for Father's Day and I have really enjoyed them so I would love to get a box set of all their albums. I don't think time has been fair to the Turtles. They were really a great band and are really only known for a couple of singles. Hopefully with a comprehensive release like this people will be able to re-evaluate their body of work.

I compared all of the bonus tracks that are included with the Repertoires with these new releases, and between the complete albums and the singles collection, all of them are included except one, and that one is on the Crossfires disc from Sundazed.

I would be a buyer if was like one of those Original Album Series boxes by other artists and you got 5 cd's for $20 - $25. Like I just bought that Original Album Series set for The Association, a similar artist to me...
'manifesto' is the label for both the US and UK release, it is probably an import, thus the high price. but i agree, most of these are in the $15 - $25 range, and some went as low as $10 at barnes & noble.

This is a weird one. It was in my "to be played" pile. Listening to HT right now. The quiet parts sound fine, & there is a big difference between the loud & quiet parts. HOWEVER, The loud parts are extremely distorted; & that's on my extremely forgiving computer system. There are moments where it sounds like digitqal clipping (which means they turned the volume control to "11" & didn't use the limiter.
My guess is somehow the digital distortion (much more evil sounding than analog clipping; which is one of the reasons they limit/compress the loud cd's so badly) triggered the DR meter. She'd Rather Be With Me has the same issue, though it's a DR10. What a shame.
