wonderful wonderful wonderful album.
anyone who likes this type of music (california rock, country rock, acoustic rock) will love this.
Agreed. Liking this a lot. The songs are strong, and Richie's voice is excellent. Sounds like a long lost 70's album.
and little, if any, preaching (although i really didn't listen to the lyrics all that closely.
the first song is about the buffalo springfield and is worth he price of the album alone....it's that good.
We Were The Dreamers is actually about Poco. Saw Richie last month and agree with all of the above. Hope his management gets him on one of the late night shows - he's got the songs. The title track is another standout.

Just got off the phone with Richie Furay for my book-what a total gentleman, and very funny.
We talked about Buffalo Springfield in depth (such great stories he told me), every Poco album he was on, Souther-Hillman-Furay Band, his solo career, Neil Young and the Buffalo Springfield reunion and this new album of Richie's which is one of his very best.
He was beyond flattered I asked him to be in the book, but I told him rhythm and acoustic players mean as much me to as lead guitarists since that's all I am and I listen for certain things. I think he's an excellent rhythm and acoustic (6 and 12 string player) and his singing and writing is of course fantastic.
It was a great moment for me to talk with him.

I was thinking of you Renny and the other Buffalo Springfield and Poco fans when I was talking to him.
He was really flattered to be a part of the book. I'd love to get Rusty Young as well (amazing, amazing player), but I'm just about done finally.
Ah, the stories Richie told me. I mean, some of them have been told before a little bit, but I always try to talk about subjects that haven't been beaten to death.
And, let's just say that Richie gets as frustrated with Neil Young as we do ha ha.
Richie is also overwhelmed with the response to his new album, and you guys contributed!

On 1st listen. I have to agree with others here; this is quite good.
This is the first post-Poco Furay I've ever liked. I may need to revisit the 70's solo albums & the Souther-Hillman-Furay albums. I played them all when they came out in the 70's, & didn't like a one. After hearing this, I am thinking I need to give at least a couple a fresh listen.

Ok...coming from a point of no deep appreciation of the man...other than being from b.s....I just ordered based on the collective rapture...no doubt I will be very pleased...as I have been over and over again from recommendations from you all.
I may not participate often...but I am a constant wallflower here...
