It has a cult following here in the states. We're learning a new computer program at my job and the instructor played an IT Crowd clip in one of our classes.
It's hilarious sitcom. You can stream the 4 seasons on Netflix now. The 2013 finale special isn't available to stream yet, but I'm sure it will eventually.
I didn't like it at first but it grew on me quite a bit. I grew to really LOVE Richard Ayoade in everything and he was one of my dream pics for the new Doctor before they announced Capaldi.

I've watched the British pilot episode, and I'm wondering why this guy isn't in the TARDIS.

Although BBC selected Peter Capaldi to succeed Matt Smith, I think Richard Ayoade would have been great as Doctor Who. But God help the universe or anyone in the TARDIS if his Doctor was anything like his character Moss.

Fortunately for his Doctor, the TARDIS is NOT made in Britain!

There's going to be a new Richard Ayoade film coming out this year, but you won't see him when it comes out. He's working behind the camera as writer and director:
and yeah I definitely wouldn't want Ayode playing Moss as the doctor. hah I think I've seen him do enough different stuff at this point to kind of have an idea at least of how I would have liked him to play it and I think it could have been quite fun. Not that we'll ever know and that's okay cause I'm really excited about Capaldi too.
I like him in Mighty Boosh and did before I knew who he was. Even after seeing the IT Crowd I was shocked that was him. Miss Potts had to point it out to me. He was playing such a different character with such different body language that I didn't even think to make the connection.
