I wish Randy would reissue the only album by Randyandy, his one-off project with Andy Armer. "The People Living In The U.S.A." is one of my favorite music videos ever.
Wow Kym, I never knew that. Hopefully I can find it on YouTube.

Fandango is an incredible album and was one I used to play along with when I was first starting out on trumpet. I bought the CD about 20 years ago, but I'm sure this version will sound a lot better. According to Herb's nephew, Randy "Badazz" Alpert, he is part of a team digitizing Herb's music (everything from The Lonely Bull to now) from the original tapes and will be making it available over the Herb Alpert site in the near future. He said the new version of the Beyond album is amazing and better than the original LP. It appears that CD's will not be the main method of getting this music out, but it didn't sound totally out of the question in some instances. Also, Herb has recently recorded a brand-new solo album that they are excited about.
This is so appealling. I loved what Shout! did with the catlg afew years back BUT they didn't complete. I knew they offered downloads but passed. I will buy the CDs without hestitation.
