Saw this trailer a couple of weeks ago; really looking forward to it! This one and Harry Potter are the only films left this year that I really want to see in the theater.

Leave it to FOX to pick this up after Disney dropped distribution.

I think Christmas release will work much better.

I believe summer release hurt the second film, which was a good film.

The guy that does storyboards for all the Narnia movies is named Mike Vosburg. Best known for drawing She-Hulk and Supergirl back in the day.

I remember his work. Nothing spectacular but I liked it.

I've not seen the Narnia movies. Loved the books growing up. Voyage of the Dawn Treader was my first and probably still favorite.

Agreed. I think following the LotR model was the way to go. Much less competition and I think kids and families are ready for epic fanasy in the winter (don't ask me why I think that... gut feeling).

I thought the first Narnia movie was lame, and have seen no more.

I think I'm just too old for that material... I thought it was well done for what it was though. Would have loved it when I was 8 and reading the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in school.

I quite liked the first two movies and look forward to the third--in 3D, no less.

Agree. I did see the first one with the kids a few years ago but even they have grown up and out of that age range.
The first one was a good family movie but I avoided the second and won't see the third.

I really enjoyed the first 2 installments so I am looking forward to this. It's a good group of young actors.

I shoudl also note I'm lukewarm to Lord of the Rings, so I just may not like the trappings of fantasy adventure.

I love fantasy adventure but for some reason these just don't click with me. Didn't dig the books as a kid, thought the first film was OK, but never saw the second. I was surprised when I saw this trailer for the third as I was under the impression that the franchise was dead for some reason.

I even liked The Golden Compass, but I am not holding my breath for a sequel there.

Personally, I'm tired of this whole genre. One more talking animal and I'll scream. :D

I feel the same way about the LOTR movie adaptations--of a novel I love. It's one reason I've not been in a hurry to watch any Narnia movies. I think they COULD make great movies, but today's style of blockbuster filmmaking is just too bloated, too loud, and too overdone for a literary classic to come through intact.

It nearly died as the second movie didn't make as much money, but they changed their minds.

Soon the kids from the first movie will have beards and will need to shave daily.
