There's a fakir who claims he's gone decades without eating.

When I was a kid, I thought Fakir was a phony joke title, something made up for the Three Stooges.
Like the law firm of Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe.

Wait... Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe is not a legitimate law firm? I've been sending them checks for years to cover my payments on the Brooklyn Bridge.

Personally I prefer my ascetic gurus to be from Tibet.

I still can't be bothered to find out what "fakir" means despite having an album by a band called Paladin with that as one of the title tracks on it.Most people might think this band (not including this track obviously) are prog, but they quite Santana-like on the rest of the album. A fakir is a person who sleeps on a bed of nails.
