Definitely a stop-gap release. It's a little over half an hour, and the first track is an instrumental nothing. Based on first listen, "Looking Back" is dreadful; the other six songs not too bad, although "Stop For a Minute" would certainly be better without K'Naan. Have given up trying to figure out why so many artists seem to equate rap with "relevance." Katy Perry, are you listening?
I like some of this, but why a rapper? I agree with David. Bands seem to think they're relevant by using a rapper in a song. When I hear the single "Stop For A Minute", I hear a great Keane song and a pointless rap in the middle that easily could've been edited out.
Many fans are not happy with this release overall and I can see why. There are a few strong songs, but overall it's forgettable. Aso, what is the deal with the J-Pop song? Awful.
