All this Iron Man exposure this weekend got me thinking about my favorite IM artist Gene Colan.
I googled and found his website:
http://www.genecolan.com/home.htmlI poked around and read some interesting stuff and saw some cool art.
Then I went to the section for COMICS COVERS.
Look at it when you can; a thing of absolute beauty.
If the "hot artist" concept had existed back in the 60s and 70s
Genial Gene would certainly be a multi-millionaire today.
Sad that's not the case.
But I'm not here to repeat sad stories, you can find them elsewhere
and help if you're moved to (Google: Clifford Meth).
As the title says, I'm here to praise the stunning beauty of his figures,
the perfect atmosphere of his pencils, and the man himself
who gave me countless hours of joy looking at Iron Man, Sub-Mariner, and Daredevil.
Many thanks to Gene the Dean.
