A seller was offering up issues #1-3, and 6 of the Get Smart comic series by Dell.
I stumbled upon them a few minutes ago, and saw that someone was bidding on all of the
issues. I only wanted issues #2-3 (the Ditko issues), but made "a play" for all of them.
As the minutes ticked away, the other bidder was most concerned with #1, I guess.
Whatever, I got the two issues that I wanted for about $11 total after shipping. Bad scans,
but they look to be in VG shape as advertised.

Cool! Did Ditko ink those issues?

I believe that Sal Trapani inked those issues, and perhaps also "girly artist"
Eric Stanton, who shared a studio with Ditko at the time.

I have one Hogan's Heroes issue from this period. It's rather good. Not the greatest Ditko,
but also far from his worst. It looked like he was enjoying himself with Hogan's Heroes, so
I have some hope for Get Smart. Also, Dell paid a good pay rate, so I think Ditko would be
encouraged to excel. I have a Nukla issue from Dell from the same period. Pretty good.

good thread name, beachy

I wonder what it was like, going from Marvel to Dell? So very different.
