Damn this Holiday Shift. It's not even Halloween yet.

This'll be the first year in a while that our house will be uncluttered enough to put the tree up.

I'm looking forward to it.

(My wife won't let me put the tree up until December.... bummer.)

granted, its a change of format stunt, but from what i understand, it will stay that way through the end of the year...

Oct. 1, I start rolling out the Christmas CDs.

I have to open my store at 12 midnight as soon as Thanksgiving is over...work until 3pm that Friday....about a 16 hour shift on the busiest shopping day of the year.....

AMEN to that, I need my zombies & corpses before I even think about X-Mas........

This thread is blasphemous....I've got my Halloween village covering our mantle and entertainment center, our china cabinet filled with all my horror books and 'potion bottles'...skulls, tombstones, and pumpkins everywhere, purple and orange lights all about.......thankfully Holt! doesn't mind watching a scary movie with me nearly every night either, at least from now 'till the 31st. Still have to put out all the cobwebs and the skeleton ground breaker outside. Halloween is in my blood...

But Christmas ain't too shabby, either.

Our first BIG order of Christmas ornaments came today. The small orders started coming in August. I want Christmas to come so I can start selling the buggers. We don't put them on display until mid-November.

I love Halloween, but we just recently had a cold front out here and it made me nostalgic for Christmas. Unfortunately the front is gone, so I get to look forward to another 87 degree Thanksgiving.

Dang, Paulie, I would think 87 degrees in Arizona is still a cold front......you can fry eggs on the sidewalk out there..

I'm from Georgia, so I miss the changing of the seasons. I like cold winters, too.

It snowed here in my part of Florida on Christmas Day 1987....stayed on the ground until about noon...I still have some in a plastic baggie in the freezer...

Heck yeah I was there! We were snowed in for 3 days! What was it, a couple feet? GA shuts down when it snows, but Arizonians don't know how to drive in the rain. Anyway, we lost all electricity, but my daddy had a gas powered generator, so we were the only house on our road that had any power.
David's invited me too, but I haven't been back to town since before I discovered IMWAN.
I do miss MacDonnah.

Wow. The thought that people would actually go out and collect up some snow to keep. I always was happiest when the darn stuff went away.

My folks had hail the size of eggs in the freezer for quite awhile (from the Texas years).
