Fanzine pioneer Bill Schelly has been active in comics fandom since the '60s and he publishes fascinating memoirs, biographies, and fanzine reprints, which are available from his website:

I've got the first volume of "Fandom's Finest Comics." There was some interesting stuff there, some of it very early work by noted artists.
