By special request of Daddio, our theme this weekend is in honour of the great Wally Wood, a truly gifted artist who was also good buddies with Steve Ditko.

Oh, and here's Wally's rendering of the day that Darren first met Melissa.

Mr Wood's birthday would have been tomorrow, the 17th of June, and our rotating board downstairs will become Wallyworld for the next week in commemoration.

Nice avatar, Frank. Mine is the cover of the first Wally Wood-illustrated comic I ever read. I bought it myself at the tender age of ten.

Sorry, the kids were distracting me, plus I was looking at two threads at once. 'Twas indeed Leo's avatar that I was referring to; dunno why I typed Frank's name. Wood's "return of the Golden Age Superman" pages from All-Star were fantastic.

(I'm sure if Frank actually did change to a Wally Wood-inspired avatar, I'd like it as well.)

Ah, yes. Young Jas--JACOB is right. Wally referred consistently to "My world" so it should likely be "Wally World" or "Wally's World".
