He did it anyways.

You looked like one of the knaves in the knight/knaves logic puzzles I read about in some of my Raymond Smullyan books. SO SUE ME!!!!

What button did he press?

And more importantly, how disappointed should I be in him?

The Chess Mysteries of Sherlock Holmes and The Chess Mysteries of the Arabian Knights are also recommended. The latter book is inexplicibly out-of-print, but you can still order it if you do a Google or A9 search. Also recommended are Alice In Puzzleland and The Lady or the Tiger?

If all math books were as fun as Smullyan's, the Chinese would be behind US!

P.S. In the book you mention, the narrator has a conversation with an inhabitant of the island, who is naturally a knight. I think it would have been interesting if he talked to an honest knave instead. (By honest, I mean a knave who does not want to mislead the listener and carefully constructs his sentences so it is clear what he is talking about, even though every statement he says is literally a lie.)

Is it a crime to try to wipe out the horrible events of January 22, 1984?
