Based on the available evidence (Hitchhiker's Guide, The Happening, Tin Man), Zooey Deschanel may be cute as a button, but she's a terrible actress. Maybe singing is a good career move.

My favorite album of the year, so far. I hope there will be a Volume Two.

Those are all pretty limited roles... most people seemed to like her in Elf, and I thought she was also quite good in All The Real Girls.

I thought she was good in "Eulogy". Nice little film. Dark humor, if'n you're into that.

Oh, and I saw an interview with Katy Perry that said during the interview a fan came up and said, "Has anyone ever told you that you look like Zooey Deschannel?" The fan walked away, and Perry said, "Only every f*cking day..."

Side note - besides Volume One, Perry's CD is one of the ones I like from this year. Some really good songs, although a couple seem kind of calculated to offend and get publicity.
