Anybody? I can't be the only one in here who's completely riveted by this?
Was Trinidad & Tobago vs. Sweden not one of the most exciting matches EVER?
How badly did the US embarrass themselves against the Czech Republic?
Is Brazil gonna take the whole thing? Again?

For the U.S. to embrarrass themselves, they have to be playing a sport that the majority of Americans care about...

I'm rooting for Australia, because they're the only other country that calls it Soccer.

The "Soccer-Roos" had a great game yesterday vs. Japan, scoring 3 goals (their first 3 EVER in the World Cup) in the last 10 minutes of the game! Exciting stuff!

It's the truth. If by some miracle the U.S. team would actually WIN the World Cup, the parade for the winners would have less people than Boston has when the Red Sox LOSE a World Series.
American soccer fans may feel they didn't play up to expectations, but the majority of American sports fans didn't really notice...

What's your point?
I was interested in seeing if anyWAN else was as into it as much as I am. If you're not that's fine, but I don't see anybody in here pissing on the things you dig. Dig?

Man, I really can't ever see myself eating at Hooters. I like women too much to disrespect them that way. I wish they'd close them all, especially those in the Mid-Atlantic area.

That's "Socceroos" - one word. Like Underoos, only different.

I am not to into it-just can't appreciate soccer-but I have followed the results, and I did feel a sense of shame that the American team lost. I wish that we had done a lot better! I did get a sense of happiness when Iran lost, and then felt bad about that.
Still, it really isn't on my radar (like the Stanly Cup isn't either).
Hope for an exciting tournament for the fans though

Well, the Czech Republic is #2 in the world, but the US is #5, so, at the very LEAST, it shoulda been closer than 3-0!

The US? The US plays today at 3pm vs. Italy. If they don't at least tie the Italians, then they're out.

Oh I agree. I'm just saying that it'll be the minimum that they'll need if they want to have any kind of hope of progressing to the next round. Still, I've seen far bigger upsets happen at World Cup.
