Found out that this formerly Best Buy-exclusive is now in general release, albeit in a self-described "deluxe edition" which retains the previous tracklist but ditches the jewel case in favor of a digipak.

Was this song actually used in the series at one point, or have they just included it because it's called "Heroes"? I don't remember hearing it during any of the episodes, but maybe I missed it.

I can't even stand the promos for the show, so needless to show, I've never seen the show.

The key song on this is the Jesus & Mary Chain track. Not available on any other release AFAIK. Great song, too.

Several of these tracks were previously unreleased when Best Buy first carried the soundtrack but subsequently appeared on the various artists' new individual album releases... in addition to the JAMC track noted above, the Brighton Park Authority/Iggy Pop collaboration is still otherwise unavailable but both tracks are likely to appear on the respective artists' new albums later this year.

The inclusion of Death Cab For Cutie b-side "Jealously Rides With Me" is also notable since it was otherwise only available on CD with the Japanese version of the Plans album.


According to TV.com, Bowie's "Heroes" was used in ".07%", the 19th episode from Season 1.
