Just the Batman for me. I was not a DC kid yet. Those covers look very appealing to me now.

I got 14 of these. I was never a month in month out Superman or Batman collector. I could buy the issue if it interested me. Action and Detective, I got most months because of the backup stories.

Ian is right, that Batman cover is one of the best. I remember being toally wowed by it when it came out.

That month was right before I stopped buying comics for a couple of years.
I only purchased three of those (Green Lantern, Teen Titans and Tales of
the GL Corps) when they came out. I have since gotten three more of them.

An interesting story behind that Batman cover. According to Comics
Interview #78, Walt drew it for Todd Reis, a guy who used to make shadow
boxes with 3-D versions of comic book covers. Todd would get multiple
copies of a comic and make the 3-D piece. He would then give it to the
artist of the cover in exchange for a commissioned drawing of Batman.

Walt drew the Batman image on the left below. Before he sent it to Todd,
he showed it to, the then Batman editor, Len Wein. Len, the Julius
Schwartz tradition, had Doug Moench write up a story to match the cover.

I loved the Wolfman Perez run on Titans. Perfect combination of nostalgia and new stuff.

I also loved the DC Presents story with the Marvels, drawn by Buckler (one of my favorites).

Superboy was a fun series too and I loved the Shazam backup stories in Worlds Finest, drawn by Don Newton (another fav).

And we were about to get the Levitz run on Legion.
