DKR = the greatest comic ever until New Frontier came along. Without DKR I would never have gotten back into reading comics in the late 80s as an 18 year old. Man of Steel intrigued me, but DKR is the one that sucked me in. Second or third trade printing, not sure. It was 1988 or '89.

Love DKR - it was one of the trades I bought during the '89 movie hype. I was 14 at the time and I didn't really get it. Read it again a few years ago, liked it, didn't love it. Read it again last year, loved it.
I also like DKSA.

I dislike the story, hate the art, hate Batman in it, and really resent how Superman is treated.

I like it except for the Superman stuff. Loved it at the time it first came out, the full page panels really jumped out at me then.

Yes.
And no need to whisper your enjoyment of DKSA, Will. It's a different beast, but excellent in its own damn way too.

It's absolutely barking, isn't it? That's why I like it. Completely bananas.

I can't say i like it as much as DKR, but DKSA was pretty fun for me as well. I hated it when it came out, but damn if I don't read it again from time to time. Miller is just magnetic.

It gets better with every reread because it works on you, changing your taste to what it's got. It makes you its model reader, leaving you dazed, dazzled and demanding more. (Well, I wanted more.)

I wouldn't got that far, but I'd like more stuff in the vein of DKR. DKSA, I've had enough, especially with the ALSB&R.

I read it once a couple of years ago, wasn't blown away. But who knows? Maybe with a second go at it I might like it more.

Absolutely yes. A thousand times, yes. I mean, c'mon! DKR is the definition of classic.
I also like DKSA. It's garbage, yeah, but it's garbage that goes all the way back to being entertaining.
