So I have finally bought some original comic art...



It's by Mike Collins and I believe it comes from Marvel's Star Trek Untold Voyages #5.

It cost me less than a tenner off eBay, an absolute bargain as it's a good page with a nice Spock closeup and a dramatic panel of Kirk.

So now I want to frame it and am wondering if any of the Brit collectors here know if any of the brand stores like Ikea happen to sell frames of a size and style suitable for standard sized comic art?

I'm guessing not and I'll end up spending more on the frame than the art but thought I'd ask...

i found ikeas mounts and frames just the wrong size.
i use a place called fast frame now. bit pricey but worth it.
they do have a range of all prices tho, so you never know . .

Gerry, do you get UV block glass and whatnot?

Thanks for the suggestion Gerry. I visited "The Range" today and got a frame that was suitable, though I had to cut a mount myself with less than steller results. (I've tried cutting my own mounts before for my photographs and have never been able to do a good job of it!)

The Range alas (for you) don't seem to go any further north than Carlisle (http://www.therange.co.uk/scat/listofstores) which is a shame as it's a useful place to try for frames.
