[Sadly, it is Rose Marie. From the original Dick Van Dyke Show.]

Yeah. Took me awhile to see it, too. Oddly, the hairstyle and makeup haven't changed that much.

Oh, lordy. Not even in interminable reruns? I haven't seen it in years, but it is part of the pop culture vocabulary. How can you get "Oooooooh, Rob!!!!" if you haven't seen it? I won't say you have to see it, but it was classic sitcom, well done and well written. You would not have had Seinfeld without Dick. OK, that sounds bad, but you get my drift.

I think Frank doesn't believe the Earth, TV or comics existed before 1975.

All of those things existed before 1975. I just don't much give a shit about catching up with most of them (notable exceptions being music, movies, Marvel Comics, STAR TREK and THE TWILIGHT ZONE).
Not sure why my disinterest in, say, THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW would register as a blip on anyone's radar. You like it? Go watch it.

But Frank, Mary Tyler Moore was smoking hot in that show.

Well, she is 85 years old. We should probably cut her a little slack.

Yvonne wrote: Frank, The Dick Van Dyke Show is an excellent sitcom. A Classic! I suggest you watch a few episodes. You'll love it! Well, I am a fan of Carl Reiner. Maybe I'll hop on over to Nick at Nite and check out an ep or two. I've got some down time coming, after all.

While many people claim that either I Love Lucy or the Honeymooners was the greatest sitcom of all time, I tend to go for the Dick Van Dyke Show. I think it was able to show great humor without having to trash any of the actors (although Buddy and Mel's relationship was close). They only went 5 seasons because Dick and Carl both wanted the show to end while they were still on top, and not run to the ground like others had been (did anyone ever watch when Lucy and Desi moved to California? YAAAAAAAWN!)
