:yay: Yay, now it's a real Diddy thread:

Blood of the Demon #16 - Byrne goodness.

Fury: Peacemaker #5 - Fun little mini, and on time too!

Jonah Hex #8 - One of my monthly "must reads".

Last Planet Standing #3 - A fun little mini, plus Galactus.

Star Wars: Legacy #0 - I'll give it a look-see, for only .25 it can't hurt.

Walking Dead #28 - Didn't know this was coming out today, happily surprised.

JSA #86 - Haven't read it yet, but we're near the end until it revives as the third (?) incarnation of a series called "Justice Society of America".

Congratulations, Diddy! I guess we were both a couple of busy boys back around August of last year, huh? ;-)

Congrats Diddy!

My haul this week:

Fury 5: entertaining war story but its just lacks something..the story and art are good but it all seems a little rushed..im eager to see how this concludes...7/10

Y the last man 46: great dialogue as ever..but this particular storyline fell a little flat with me..too many disparate elements that did not quite come together..7/10

Walking Dead 28: wow this issue was brutal..the new villain is one twisted dude that i hope gets his due very soon..he does some horrible things this issue..this new arc has got me interested in this title again after a slow patch..8/10

Detective 820: Robinson is just a great Batman writer..i love the actual detective work plus he shows his emotional side to Robin and the rest of the supporting cast..great moment with the grandniece of the surprise golden age hero..that was pure Robinson magic. The Jason bard back up was amazing too..9/10

Jonah Hex 8: a little formulaic but a solid western tale witha few twists..8/10

Star Wars Legacy 0: Ostrander is a just a great (underrated) writer..he reinvents the Star Wars mythos here in a who's who type book and just draws you in..ill have to check out the new series...8/10

Marvel Spotlight: Millar/Mcniven: these interview books just seem dated in this internet age..if they dont provide some scoops or special insights they are a waste of cash in my mind..wont be picking this up again...4/10

Best of the week: Punisher 34: Ennis continues his hardcore crime tale that mixes corporate graft, treachery, great white sharks, and a man-mosnter named Barracuda...some great one liners by the Punisher and phenomenal art by Goran Parlov..Punsiher max by Ennis is just consistently Marvel's best book..10/10

I just started ordering my comics through mail. i save money

Stinls though because I just got May today (my first month)

Double stinks because I bought the first three weeks of May because I ordered so long ago, i forgot and thought I started in June. So 90% of the books I had.

What I ordered for this week is:

STAR WARS LEGACY #0 $0.25

52 WEEK #5
DETECTIVE COMICS #820
SUPERMAN DOOMSDAY OMNIBUS TP
SUPERMAN RETURNS KRYPTON TO EARTH (first comic a friend of mine bought in ten years)

ANNIHILATION SILVER SURFER #3 (OF 4)
CIVIL WAR FRONT LINE #1 (OF 10)
FANTASTIC FOUR FIRST FAMILY #4 (OF 6)

One thing that stinks about mail order is I don't care for 52 or FF First Family but I think I am ordered through July or August anyway. But, the price is so good I still save money

Saving money, huh?

;)

What I hated was having books on my pull list that I couldn't remember buying or not, then getting home and finding I now had multiple copies of the same books.

Stupid 'Tales of the Witchblade'...

No comics until tomorrow here. Seems UPS is able to deliver comics to Mile Hi Comics, but no other comics stores.

Congrats on the life of daddyhood, Diddy.

Detective 820–––––––wanting to see how this arc ends.

JSA 86––––––––––––Waiting for this arc to end. It hasn't really lit my fire...so to speak.

Modern Masters/J.B.–Interesting interview. Something that conflicts me from time to time. John can come across as quite brusque when answering some people on his board. But I read this book and think of what he says about not suffering fools gladly. Maybe he's not so bad and has just been subjected to too many people's rudeness, or bad opinion. What is one to do? It's so confusing. Either way, I enjoyed the book.

Anywho, I'll be okay. Don't worry about me any. Those are my picks for this week.

p.s. Dropped 52 as of this week.

Why didn't anyone tell me there was a new Spider-Girl TPB out? That's all right. It was a pleasant surprise when I ran across it in the shop tonight. This leads to an addendum to my previous listing for this week...

Spider-Girl TPB #8
Wonder Woman #1 (On the recommendations of Keith, Kevin and others.)

Last Planet Standing #3 (Of 5) I think the last planet will be Saturn.
Spider-Girl Digest #6 Kewl.

Surprisingly enough, that will also be the outcome of the NEXT mini-series: "Last Auto-Maker Standing"....

Hey, Brendan, that's fantastic news! Congrats!

I missed Detective 820 and the JB Modern Masters, so I'll get them this week...otherwise, it was a good haul:

Luba's Comics and Stories 8- Gilbert Hernandez is a genius. HIs stories about Palomar and Luba's family and extended family are an incredible body of work. This final issue made me *tear up*. I don't remember the last comic to do that for me.

BPRD: The Universal Machine 3- While we learn more about the origins of Johann Kraus, Dr. Kate Corrigan is faced with a dilemma. This mini has been extremely intriguing.

Invincible 32- Continuing the nice weekend in Africa. Mark's relationship with his gf is explored and we learn more about hero/civilian relationships, but this time from the perspective of the hero. And what a cliffhanger, folks!

Blood of the Demon 16- It's exciting, and well-drawn, but I can barely keep up with everything going on. There better be hell of a resolution. ;)

Annihilation: Silver Surfer 3- This has been such a fun ride so far, and I can expect the final issue to be kick-ass, given this issue's ending.
