Something interesting I've noticed recently. The posts on the first few pages of IMWAN have view counts which are commensurate with the number of members we have and the number of hits we get to the site in general. Threads view average about 10 to 20 times the number of replies. But the further back you look, the higher the number of views become, until you look at the oldest posts at IMWAN and find that those threads ~ from a time that we were just starting out and were really, really small ~ have 50 to 100 times the number of views that they do replies.

This fascinates me. Since the number of visitors to IMWAN continues to increase, it means that our posts have a very long shelf-life of re-readability. Newcomers are going deep into the forum's past and re-reading those threads, continually adding to the view counts weeks, months and even years after the fact. This is a good quality for a comic book forum to have, no? :) Maybe we should look into publishing reprint collections ...

Our old threads were better.

I'm waiting for the bound volume originals with sketches in them.

OXYMORONIC! Linda, we need a new rule.

Whomever is posting at the time when an oxymoron is required, say every three hundred posts or so, they MUST post an oxymoronic statement. Sound gut?

The new threads have better perspective grids.

So....we just randomly type in your name every 300 posts? I think we can handle that. :)

Does anyone know where I can sell all of the old posts now that I've got the trades?

Are we gonna have the posts recoloured for the trade?

During the Wally Wood Weekend, I'll be signing tpbs with my stamp. The monthlies I'll sign with my autopen.

IIRC, Darren was always pink/grey in the monthlies - I received an executive order that he is to be green in the trade, tho' 8)

Just, whatever else you do, for the love of GOD, don't sign anything with those silver ink sharpies! Even if I beg you to use one to sign a book that I've bought and paid for and own and is mine to slab or destroy as I see fit, PLEASE lecture me about how the ink in those pens will ruin my book forever!

You can get high on those silver ink pens! I accidentally smelled one once, and woke up as teaching sixth grade!
