So, anyone exciting about the new biker drama that FX is releasing.

Saw the little featurette they've been playing at the movies and it looks... eh.

And The Shield is back. I'm so very tempted to take advantage of the $25 a season deal Amazon.com has at the moment, but I've spent a bit to much on DVDs this week and am holding off. It'll come back around.

I caught the first two episodes of Sons of Anarchy, I like it. This means of course, that it will be either cancelled mid-season or won't be renewed for a 2nd season.

I'm patiently waiting for Rescue Me to come back with full length episodes, the mini-sodes have been fun.

Finally got around to watching the first episode. Not bad. A lot better than the promos I saw of it made it, which seemed to emphasize the soap opera stuff over the "let's fuck some shit up" attitude that the show has.

But I must say I had to stiffle a giggle over the lead actor's swagger. Fucker was swaying like Axl Rose half the time.

Last nite's was pretty good, it shows they do everything for a reason. Although, I wouldn't want to get any mail from them anytime soon.......

And it looks like damn, they just inherited more problems(as if the Mayan weren't enough).......

Last night showed why you don't want to be an "old lady" to a biker. Of course, the line got a chuckle out of me, that poor prospect........

Been watching this.

Want to like it more than I actually do.

Well, to be fair, the main characters are gunrunning bikers so they're not meant to be sympathetic. Jax may be the only one meant to be since he seems to be questioning if the club is what his father envisioned.

I've been watching this and like it. But I missed the first 2 episodes. So, Jax is not Clay's son by birth - how'd that go down? And he's reading journals left by his Dad - what happened to the Dad?

And what would you have picked? Knife or fire? After watching. I'm thinking knife.

Sam is dead, they may have said so in the first episode, but I don't recall. The way Sagal's character talks, Jax may be Clay's son not Sam's(the "real father" line that's in the previously scroll).

I think knife would have been a little messier, since they'd more than likely have to peel..........

Oh, I'm sure peeling would have been involved. But burns hurt more and last longer than cuts. I'm sticking with knife.

I'm thinking I would've listened and blacked out the tat, especially if I was ever allowed back in town.......

Not having a problem with where my sympathies lie.

Having a problem with the show trying to be bigger than it is and failing.

If this is FX's successor to The Shield, well then...FAIL. It doesn't even begin to touch the greatness of that show. Or of Rescue Me for that matter.

I haven't given up on it yet. But it's already become the show on my DVR that I watch after all the other shows I've recorded.

Never could get into Rescue Me. Probably has everything to do with not being able to take Dennis Leary seriously as an actor. He's just a bad attitude on legs.

I love Rescue Me, he does a good job in it. This and Rescue Me on FX(I'm going to have to watch The Shield on DVD, since I didn't get to watch it from the beginning) are two of my favorite shows.

Oh, Robert, you SO need to watch the Shield. It transcends any and all of these other shows.

I know, I missed out on original season and with this being the final season I figure I can watch the seasons back to back.

Totally worth it and you'll find yourself watching in 6 to 8 hour blocks because it's just too good to turn off.

It's one of those shows the GF doesn't like, so I'll get to watch it by myself like most of my FX shows.
