This is a new box set for those completists out there. THE WHO-MY GENERATION Japan Box Set. This set consists of 2 of the new SHM discs and the description that follows:
First ever release of the original U.K. mono recordings plus B-sides, Outtakes, Demo's and more. Remastered by Jon Astley. Box set includes 7 alternate covers + cardboard sleeve replicas for all singles and e.p's related to My Generation (nearly 20 different sleeves)

I'm pretty sure it will be released on June 25th. Its going to list for around $91.58, but I should be able to get it for about $85 if anybody is interested.

Roxanne--I'm always curious about any "new" Who product, but I would just want to know as many of the details as possible before putting down that kind of cash...however, despite my cynicism, I have to wonder if this might mean the first CD release of Pete's "My Generation" demo, previously only released on flexi-disc?

Japanes street price will be 10000 Yen + 5% internal tax, so Roxanne´s price is pretty good.

I'm somewhat disappointed but not at all surprised that there is hardly anyone that contacts me for buying the japan mini sleeves. My regular (and highly valued) customers get the best price available and every once in a while I offer up a perk like a "My Generation" box set at my cost. Try getting that from CDJapan. My regular customer base is building from, of all places, EBAY. Repeat buyers that order direct, unless of course you feel the need to pay an extra $50 for a $1 laminated box from Disk Union.

Roxanne, with all due respect, your Tunes & Treasures webpage doesn't list any Who titles. Also--if you are listing titles on Ebay, you might want to somehow pass along a link? ;)

In the meantime, I still haven't seen a track listing for this particular set.

I just emailed my sales rep in Tokyo with a request for a track listing for the box set. If its available, he'll get it to me. As far as the website goes, it needs updated REAL BAD!! A lot of the cds aren't available any more, and my current prices on current releases are better. As soon as our house (hopefully) sells in Ohio, and we have our new house on the southwest gulf of Florida, I plan an overhaul of the website which will include all the existing inventory + regular updates for new releases, prices, and pre orders. Our Ebay seller id is: marcinackr

Yes, Roxanne, these $1 laminated boxes are value added for most collectors so this can be an important reason, more than you can think.

When I started on this only 16 months ago I thinked only into buy the highlighs from each band, and only the complete collection from my all time favourite bands, but this is very addictive, and my mind changed month after month. I never thinked into buy these $1 laminated boxes, and less paying $200 (like someone did yesterday for the AC/DC box). But the true is that right now I have more than 2000 mini lps and 230+ $1 laminated boxes. Crazy, isn´t?

Fortunately for me I found a japanese seller that buys about 30% ot the total of DU promo boxes from each release, and I was able to have access to the old promo boxsets without need to bid high prices at ebay. The only drawback was that I had already a lot of minis from these boxsets so I needed to put on sale a lot of repeated albums after receive the boxsets.

Right now is more easy because I do prereserves for the boxsets and the only drawback is that I must to pay the 5% japanese extra tax over the album export price. But this changes for the individual albums, I order them from a big store with discount.

The main difference about these $1 laminated boxes is that they must be buyed from Disk Union, so they must be paid at japanese official price plus taxes, so no wholesaler discount. If you were able to buy the DU promo items at wholesaler discount probably you will do exactly as you do with individual albums.

So for people like me is more easy to buy from you one of your really nice puppets than a mini lp, the same if you have very fair prices and shipping cost, and I think that you must be the primary option for american buyers. So you can´t deal being competitive with promo items but is plain clear that you are offering a great advantage -good price, delivery time, shipping cost,...- for the NA buyers. I think that if when you will finish to renew your webshop you have an independent area for prereleases updated weekly you can take most of the CDJapan or HMV sales for the american buyers.

Said this, is there any special reason to not ship your puppets outside USA? You are shipping outside the mini lps, why not the rest of your products?

Unless you're into mono mixes, there doesn't appear to be anything new here.

I had just started to list the tracks from the box set when Rotten beat me to it. Good Job! Close to half of the cds I sell end up going international. I sell a lot to Germany, U.K., Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Australia. I charge actual cost on shipping. The stuffed bears and other items are a little cost prohibitive to send overseas. Even with the shipping added, it costs some international buyers less than to buy the same item in their own country.

The question is if the people can find these stuffed bears in his own country, isn´t? Or if has the time to do shopping out of internet... that´s the reason of my question.
