Before I take the plunge, I'd like to find out when this concert took place. The cover photo indicates to me a later period-almost recent (unless I'm seeing incorrectly). Plus, do any of you have any experience with Goldenlane/Cleopatra? Do they put out good stuff?

Steve: I am more than suspicious of anything on Cleopatra. They've put out many comps that contain rerecordings. Proceed with caution.

I saw The Spinners two years ago at a free local concert in the park. They were great. Fabulous tunes!

This is clearly one of those "current incarnations" releases of soul groups that I lamented in a thread a couple of weeks ago. The Spinners have a live release from their heyday, but I don't think that one is very good either.

I believe these recordings are taken from the dvd that came out 2 years ago-same title, same cover. The reviews of the dvd were mixed. This doesn't look very appealing to me.
