This beautiful 3-CD box includes all of the surviving Tyrannosaurus Rex and T Rex recordings Marc made for the BBC. Some from the BBC tapes and some from ‘off air’ recordings. It is the most comprehensive ‘At The Beeb’ retrospective to date and even contains a very rare session from 1970 with 2 never before released tracks; My Baby’s Like A Cloudfall and Funk Now Jam.

Fans of T. Rex and Marc Bolan will be able to acquire a CD of rare BBC recordings of many familiar songs. The album is called The Best of the BBC Recordings. There are 24 tracks from various BBC shows between 1967 (“Scenescof”) and 1971 (“Jeepster,” “Telegram Sam,” “Get It On,” “Hot Love”). These are collectible, previously unreleased live tracks from in-studio and in-concert performances. This fan-geared album is being released by Hip-O Records on August 19, 2008.


Merged Starz Rider's post into the original thread for the UK 3-CD box set of T.Rex BBC recordings. This new best-of domestic release on Hip-O offers a selection of 24 tracks culled from the full 3-CD set at the top of the thread. ~ Linda

I have the full three disc set from which this is distilled. I recommend the full set if you're on the fence about which one to get.
