I drew this in 1983 when I was working at Coastal Empire Comics in Savannah. I took every issue of The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe and drew every character that had made their first appeance in the Fantastic Four, but I drew them as little kids! My friend Phil Lightfoot dubbed them "mini-mites" and I was off and running!

(edited to add: This piece is drawn on a 14x17 piece of Bristol paper and I had to scan it in pieces to get the whole thing. I tried to clean it up as best I could but there are still some places that are a little "off" 'cause I just couldn't get them to fit right!)

Okay, well here's one from '89 that might be a little more to everyone's liking... :)

Good work, Frank. Though shouldn't the circa '89 Batman have nipples? :P

Seemed like the natural thing to do! I gave the Watcher a little Charlie Brown hair squiggle on the FF poster, but it's kinda hard to see at this size.

I met Phil in '82 in the Starship Records store on Largo Dr in Savannah (that was the original location of the legendary and aforementioned Coastal Empire Comics!) He moved away from Savannah a few years ago and he and his wife and son live in the vast Pacific Northwest region of the US.

So in answer to yer question: Yes!

Yer's looks cuter. I picked up two Li'l Archie comics just this week, due to my love of "cute" comics. They're hard to find!

Well, its six of one....look, the X-Babaies or whatever they were still "fit" into the Marvel Universe. But, thats just plain dumb. So, making them cuter, like Giarusso's Giant Sized Mini-Marvels, or whatever it was called, was ridiculously CUTE. Like they should've been, not posing as some cutesey-ass semi-imaginary bullshit tale. Either do it, or don't, I say.
But yers definitely fall into that Li'l Archie vibe. Cute!
