Thanks from all of us dads out here. I had a great father's day. My three year old wished me a happy father's day, something he couldn't do last year. He's a big Van Morrison fan, by the way, especially Astral Weeks and Moondance. Sure, he's precocious, but he loves Elmo and Really Rosie and Barney, too (despite my efforts to steer him away from that horrible big purple dinosaur).

I had a nice day. Got a new Taylor Made burner rescue club for the golf bag and a new swimsuit for my upcoming trip to Cancun.

This Father's Day I was 8,000 miles away from my kids and 11,000 miles away from my dad. Can't say I minded, though -- it was our first vacation without kids in over 10 years.
