That pricing hurts....$31.99 each

Will wait and see to make sure the mastering is up to snuff.

Might want to take a second look - Amazon is currently listing these at only $19.99 each.

Actually, there are listings at both prices... and apparently the SACDs are a limited release with regular CDs to follow later in the year.

The SACDs are domestic releases now, rescheduled for July 22nd. (The higher priced imports are Japanese mini-LP sleeve editions but don't indicate whether or not they're SACDs too ... those might be redbook SHM pressings.)

The plot thickens! Coming out tomorrow (July 1st) is an attractive limited edition Japanese box set of all the Dead Can Dance SACDs in mini LP replica sleeves. There will be only 1000 of these boxes made:

2008 nine disc SACD box set featuring all nine of the band's studio albums packaged in Japanese paper sleeves which replicate the original UK vinyl releases, including replica original inner sleeves and new additional booklets with lyrics, album labels and other images. Packaged in a special black velvet box set, itself protected by a printed cardboard outer box, which includes all nine titles, strictly limited to 1000 copies. Cofounded in Australia in the early '80s by Irish punk bassist/singer Brendan Perry and Australian vocalist Lisa Gerrard, Dead Can Dance transplanted to London in 1982 and quickly became globally renowned for their stylistically diverse and groundbreaking music as well as their incredible live shows. Fusing atmospheric, ambient pop, spiritual undertones, and alt-Electronica with world beats and European folk-both contemporary and centuries old-their string of album masterpieces kicked off in 1984 with a self-titled debut. After disbanding in '99, Perry went solo and Gerrard became a prominent film composer, celebrated for her Golden Globe winning score for Gladiator, among other works. 4AD.
