Musictap is reporting James Taylor's Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon album is going to get reissued on August 5th by Rhino. Hopefully, it will actually happen. Rhino had plans for this one a few years ago and then pulled back. There's no word on bonus tracks yet.

Musictap is now indicating this will be an LP-only release. There go the bonus tracks...

Yep, they've been talking about it on the Hoffman site for awhile now. Vinyl only (go figure).

I don't buy much vinyl at all, but I did pick up the Rhino Sweet Baby James remastered LP. Very, very, nice, even on my humble stereo system. I may have to treat myself to this one, too.

I must be going senile. It hit me that the Hoffman guys have been talking about this for a while too. It completely slipped my mind. I wish Musictap had said this in their first report.

Too bad it is vinyl only, I finally caved and bought the Sweet Baby James and Mud Slide CD's since they are not catering to the digital market with this reissue campaign.

FYI, mastered by Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray. Vinyl only but probably the best this one is going to sound...

Too bad we can't get the Warner Brothers stuff reissued/remastered on CD.

I think the current WB cds of Sweet Baby James and Mud Slide Slim sound fantastic.

Be careful what you wish for

Maybe. Gorrilla could be improved.

I remember that this was my 100th album. It was a big milestone at the time.
