Yeah. I like the idea of Batman having a villain that is his own split personality better than the execution, though.

I'm starting to wonder if all the sordid past of Thomas, Martha, and Alfred is leading up to the post-Crisis introduction of Thomas Wayne, Jr.

What they really need is a clone of Batman who wears a bright red version of his uniform, and who temporarily replaces him, and then...no....no, seriously....this could work....hey...hey, hold on, put down that nine-iron! No! NO!!!!!!

Of course, all those uniforms were really black...with the appropriate highlights. Robin is clearly wrong, and needs his eyes tested.

Don't let us all make fun of it, Rafael. Tell us what you think.

Have they announced who the replacement Batman (or Batmen) will be?

1950s Batman really liked to play dress-up in his different outfits. And this was before they started merchandising action figures!

1950s Batman would have got on well with 1980s Iron Man.

It has been my belief for a couple of issues that Thomas Wayne Jr. is The Black Glove.

Well, I tried to yesterday.

I'm loving it. I love this crazy Morrisonian idea of examining Bruce's psyche using all those weird and strange tales of the 50's, and their reintroduction to modern continuity. In one of the issues Morrison has Bruce saying "I'm cooler than James Bond" and he's showing it, making him have frenetic, action packed stories around the world complete with beautiful, Bond-like girls. He even introduced a Club of Villains, the evil counterpart of the old Club of Heroes (El Gaucho, Legionary, Knight and Squire, those guys). As usual, Morrison writes the comic books I like to read, where I literally don't know what to expect from one issue to the next.

No, I don't think there will be any, though. I'm sure the "R.I.P" refers to a metaphorical death (and subsequent rebirth)

Dick is injured in his civilian identity by some thieves in a public incident and broke his arm. In order to capture the thieves and prevent people from realizing that both Dick Grayson and Robin had broken arms, Batman decided to draw attention to himself by being..really notorious.

OK:
Dick Grayson stops some gangsters, and in the process hurts his arm. Just so happens, there's a lot of publicity around the incident.
Batman suddenly starts dressing up in differest colored suits, culminating in the infamous Rainbow Batman suit.
The reason being?
Spoiler: show
Batman realizes that after all of Gotham City saw/read about Dick hurting his arm, if they saw Robin favoring the same arm, they might put 2 and 2 together, and suss out their true identities.
So Batman wore the gaudy colors to draw attention away from Robin, and to himself, and hopefully no one would notice Robin's gimpy arm.

Yes, that's right. I kid you not.

It makes sense, kinda.
