Superhero Hype! has your exclusive first look at a new photo from Spider-Man 3! You may think you're looking at a black and white photo. Look closely, Spider-Man wears a black suit in Spider-Man 3. Tobey Maguire returns as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Spider-Man 3. Release date is 5/4/07.
Thee's a rumor that Topher Grace is Venom, which would explain the reptilian-like scales, but who knows? But no it's not grayscale, because there are too many blues and green-blues in it, so I dunno.

Wonder Woman: I have heard that once or twice before.
I don't care what Sony says, that is not a "black and white Spider-Man costume". That's a shot of the regular blue & red suit soft lit with a dark blue/black hue to match the mood of the photo. I suppose Peter's supposed to be depressed over something.
Look at the (very) subtle differences in the left leg, where the red section meets the blue. That's the regular suit that has been color corrected for this pic, folks.
Why would they lie? I haven't the foggiest. Red herring, mebbe? I don't know. But that's the same costume we've seen in the other two movies.
I don't buy that that is a black suit. It's a recolored photo. Superhero Hype reported, prior to the movie coming out, that the Hulk would be naked, just to demonstrate how accurate they can be. (Though, I did remember hearing later that Ang Lee had wanted the Hulk to be nude, but that the studio execs put the kibosh on that idea. Bless them.)
I beleive this is a "new' black suit (http://jam.canoe.ca/Movies/2006/02/25/1461409.html), but that doesn't mean I have to like it. It really does look like a black-n-white shot of the "old" costume. I'm also not crazy about Bryce Dallas Howard as Gwen. I'm sure I'll enjoy the movie though.

I noticed that too, but maybe they want the black costume to look that way, to have the same basic pattern as the regular costume.
Assuming that is the actual costume, they have already changed quite a bit to it, it's not out of the realm of possibilities.
I'll stand by my assessment that the costume in this picture is a recolored after-the-fact example of his regular suit. When I see a set photo or a picture in which not everything is colored the same way, I'll believe it. If they wanted people to believe that the black costume appears in this movie, I would think they would do a more definitive job of showing that... unless the WANT "controversy."
