I don't normally care for "busy" drummers, but Matt Tong of Bloc Party somehow manages to make it work. He jams along with far more fills than he needs, lots of little rolls and titsN'tats, yet he pulls it off admirably, helping drive along songs that stray from 4/4 in cool ways. As recognizable as the vocalist quickly becomes, and as interesting as the guitarist is, Matt Tong is the unheralded hero of this excellent British band.
