OK, Stanley, Jim, Trevor, whoever else - I've started the thread. We are all going to watch B5 together, an episode at a time, starting with the pilot, "The Gathering". We're going to use this thread to discuss it. Hopefully this little B5 club will actually get me to finish the series, as I hear it gets really good by season 2-season 3. All we need is a date! I'm at the in-laws the next three weekends, and I'm in Seattle May 9-12, but I'm free otherwise. -Steve

I'd be in if hulu.com didn't suck on the B5 front.
I mean, come on. We're talking about a show that has Harlan Ellison in its credits. I should have been on board years ago.

That sounds illegal.
I also don't truck with the illegal.

I see that the iTunes store has individual episodes for $1.99 apiece. That might be a good way to fill in the hulu gaps for first season. For later seasons, for those of you not into Netflix, you might want to consider buying used from eBay or Amazon stores, then selling when you're done (assuming you don't want to keep it). This way you basically just pay for postage, and watch the series at your convenience. Just a thought...

Yeah, everyone go ahead and go with iTunes or Amazon Unbox for the pilot and the missing season 1 episodes, and Hulu the rest. We'll figure something else out for season 2. Maybe by then Hulu will have it.

Okay, it appears there are several made for TV movies, too. Anyone know roughly where they should be watched? Between seasons, I presume, but which film goes where?

In order of series chronology: 2245-48 • In the Beginning (1st movie†) 2256 • Babylon 5 is commissioned 2257 • The Gathering (Pilot) 2258 • Signs and Portents (Season 1) 2259 • The Coming of Shadows (Season 2) 2260 • Point of No Return (Season 3) 2261 • No Surrender, No Retreat (Season 4) 2261 • Thirdspace (2nd movie) 2262 • Wheel of Fire (Season 5) 2263 • The River of Souls (3rd movie) 2265 • The Legend of the Rangers (5th movie) 2266 • A Call to Arms (4th movie) 2267 • Crusade (Spin-off series) 2271 • The Lost Tales: Voices in the Dark 2278 • In the Beginning (1st movie†)
He said not to watch "In the Beginning," which is a prequel, until after the series, because it spoils a lot of stuff.

Pretty sure it's safe to watch "In the Beginning" in between seasons 4 and 5.

And then there is Babylon 5 Crusade. Which sadly only went for one season.
