I sometimes fear that I can't keep in my head the various trades and comic runs I want to eventually read. Other current trades get skipped to the front of the line, so the "all time" list grows and I forget stuff. So I'm posting a list for myself, and when I think of one, I'll edit this post.

This is not a "recommended" list by me, these are trades I haven't read.

Feel free to post your own reminder list. Maybe we'll find it interesting reading each other's "to read" list -- either for ideas of what to read, or just interest in what the other guy intends to tackle.

Trades and comic runs I intend to read:

Finish Sandman (currently at Vol. 3)
Finish Sgt. Rock Showcase (halfway done)
Bone
Tom Strong (Alan Moore's, anyway)
Amazing Spider-man Omnibus, Vol. 1
FF Omnibus, Vol. 1-2
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Suggestions and comments are welcome. Or just post your own list!.

I will be finishing Preacher as soon as the last three trades arrive.

Then...

Fray
Fables
Strangers in Paradise (gotta pick up the TPB collection)
Ultimate Spider-Man (I've fallen behind on my trade waiting)
Starman
Jack Staff
Cerebus

I should re-read...

Y: TLM (may do this after Fables... I have the first four trades and plan on replacing all my singles with trades)
Sandman

I'd love to read (but may never get the chance)...

Marvelman/Miracleman

I've got at least 10 Essentials/Showcases I haven't even started yet.

I have never read any Nexus at all - where should I start?

Still a few things on my shelves that are either unread or series that I've fallen behind on reading:

Lucifer -- have the first five trades. Have yet to read them. Since I've heard good things, it'll be just like me to buy the rest before I start reading.

Promethea -- The last volume took so long to come out, I stalled out because I didn't want to read it until I've reread the others.

100 Bullets -- Though they're on the shelf, I'm several trades behind on my reading.

Fable -- Ditto

DMZ -- I now own the first three trades. The fourth is out soon. I'll probably start reading this soon. I hope it's a finite series. I don't want an ongoing.

I've started Iron Man Essentials #1. I really enjoyed Cap Essentials #1-3.
Start with the Dark Horse Nexus. That is when Baron and Rude hit their stridr.

How far along are you? Because I've pwn3d you here. Just wondering how badly.

Fables was one of those that once it was in the house I just found myself reading it. I'm making the switch to floppies after Good Prince (which is not an easy maneuver -- I've been laying aside issues until June).

Pretty badly. I left off at The Mean Seasons (vol. 5, or issues 28-33). I own through Sons of Empire (Vol. 9).

You were ahead of me, I left off at the Animal Farm trade, vol.2. I was thinking of dropping it, but I spent a weekend getting caught up on the last 7 trades and changed my mind. Really entertaining series.

Ah-ha! I finished Preacher! It was sublime. Read Fray... it was pretty good. Love to see more of that character.

I am up to Arabian Nights (and Days) for Fables.

Add 100 Bullets to the list I need to finish, 6 or 7 trades behind at this point.
Plus the last two Jack Staff trades.

Abort the LOEG read after the second trade.

Trust me on this.

I must have over 30 books on my shelves waiting to be read. I just don't have the time like I used to. This week I have really struggled to read any of my Alan Moore Wildcats book and yet since I first picked it up last Friday three more books new have popped thru my letter box from ebay. I am going backwards not forwards with them all.

I have yet to tackle Preacher, Hellblazer, Lucifer, From Hell, Concrete, DMZ and Cerebus.

I need to finish up The Invisibles, Astro City, Promethea, Love and Rockets, Tom Strong and Starman.

When you get 100 Bullets, I highly recommend you give the first trade a pass when you judge it. I was underwhelmed by it. Didn't read the second one for more than a year afterward because I didn't understand the hype. Finally got to the next one, and the second was very good.

The third was absolutely outstanding, as were just about all the volumes to follow.

Read the first trade, but do not judge the series by it, because it ramps up in quality sharply, quickly and dramatically.

I read the first two trades, but the library only had those two and didn't order them any more. I liked them, but not enough to buy them or otherwise acquire them. Too much stuff on my reading list as it is!

My quest now is for all of the Michelinie/Layton Iron Man trades or hardcovers. I got the Doomquest one today to start.

Oh, and if JRjr still drew like he did back then, only with the storytelling sense he has today...wow. Huge difference in rendering style, particularly female faces. I like them. :)
