Very Python-esque! Nice touch! Seriously though, does anybody care anymore about this has-been?? I think he did this solely for publicity, as his hit-record making days are over and you don't hear much about him anymore. Stick a fork in him - he's done.

Quote: P Diddy rejects Tupac shooting claims
P. Diddy has labelled a report claiming he was behind the shooting of rapper in 1994 as "completely untrue".
A report linking Diddy with an attack on Shakur in New York had been published on the Los Angeles Times website.
According to BBC News, P. Diddy responded to the allegations saying: "It is beyond ridiculous and completely false. Neither (BIG) nor I had any knowledge of any attack before, during or after it happened.
"I am shocked that the Los Angeles Times would be so irresponsible as to publish such a baseless and completely untrue story."
Tupac Shakur was subsequently murdered in a similar shooting in 1996 in Las Vegas. http://www.nme.com/news/puff-daddy/35269

He would never do something like that. Now if someone else did it, he might take credit for it.

http://www.nme.com/news/p-diddy/35381P Diddy settles with 'assault' victim
Mar 25, 2008
P. Diddy has privately settled a court case which accused him of punching a man in Hollywood last year.
Gerard Rechnitzer claims he approached Diddy, real name Sean Combs, at the post-Oscars party at Teddy’s nightclub in the Roosevelt Hotel in February 2007 when the hip-hop impresario punched him, pushed his girlfriend and spat on another female partygoer.
However, the rapper claimed in court that “any contact was caused by his forward motion against my open hand”.
The terms of the settlement between Diddy and Rechnitzer were not disclosed in the court notes, BBC News reports.

http://www.nme.com/news/p-diddy/35438P Diddy implication in Shakur's death investigated
Mar 26, 2008
The Los Angeles Times has announced that it is launching an investigation into the authenticity of documents the newspaper cited in a story published last week implicating Sean P. Diddy Combs' associates in the 1994 shooting of hip-hop star Tupac Shakur.
LA Times editor Russ Stanton ordered the investigation after the Smoking Gun celebrity website told the newspaper that the documents appeared to be forgeries.
The website said the documents looked suspicious for several reasons, including the fact that they appeared to be written on a typewriter rather than a computer, and included blacked-out sections not typically found in such documents.
"Questions have been raised about the authenticity of documents that we relied on for a story on the assault of Tupac Shakur in New York," Stanton said in a statement issued today (March 26).
"We are taking this very seriously and have begun our own investigation," he added.
P. Diddy has denied that his associates had any involvement in Shakur's death, calling the report "completely untrue," as previously reported.

http://www.nme.com/news/p-diddy/35444Newspaper apologises to P Diddy for Tupac shooting implication
Mar 27, 2008
The Los Angeles Times newspaper has issued an apology to P. Diddy for implying that he was involved in the shooting of in 1994, after it emerged that documents the implications were based on for the story published on March 17 were doctored.
The newspaper's editor, Russ Stanton, admitted that documents newspaper staff had originally believed to be FBI records and witness accounts among other sources, turned out to be false.
Writer Chuck Phillips says he was "duped" by the documents.
"We apologise to both our readers and to those referenced in the documents and in the story," Stanton said, reports BBC News.
Two years after the attack in New York, Shakur died in a separate shooting incident in Las Vegas.

http://www.nme.com/news/p-diddy/35473P Diddy's lawyer lashes out at LA Times
Mar 28, 2008
P. Diddy's lawyer has lashed out at the Los Angeles Times for publishing an inaccurate story linking the rap mogul to the 1994 shooting of Tupac Shakur.
The story, which ran March 17, implied that P. Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, knew about plans to assault Shakur.
The LA Times has since issued an apology, after it emerged that the documents the implications were based on were doctored, as previously reported.
In response, Combs' attorney Howard Weitzman issued a statement today (March 27) saying the "apology is, at best, a first step, but it doesn't undo the false and defamatory nature of the story, or the suspicion and innuendo that Mr. Combs has had to endure due to these untruthful allegations and the irresponsible conduct of this particular reporter."
The lawyer for Jimmy Rosemond, chief executive officer of Czar Entertainment who was also was linked to the attack by the LA Times, issued a statement saying, "their apology does not go far enough," reports Reuters.

Quote: Diddy says he'd win at 'Olympic Sex' – Tabloid Hell
Sean P Diddy Combs has come up with a new idea for an Olympic sport, and one for which he reckons he’d definitely get the gold.
Speaking at last night’s spring summer presentation for his Sean John clothing line, Diddy confessed his favourite sport to watch during the games is Track and Field, but reckons he’d have a chance at winning in an entirely different category.
"Who could have sex the longest," Diddy told nymag.com "I think that's an event I can do well in. And probably who could stay up the longest. Just so you know, that's supposed to be funny….even though I am serious."
When asked who he would like to compete with for the gold medal, Diddy answered "Whoever's up for the challenge." http://www.nme.com/news/tabloid-hell/38843

This is one of those people that I'm not really sure what they do. Like Paris Hilton. Is he a rapper? A designer? A spokesman for Burger King? An actor? I agree with Dr Chris Evil he is famous for just being famous. I guess if you see someone all over the place they just automatically become famous.

He had one big hit as a solo artist, a tribute to Notorious B.I.G. that ripped off ("sampled") The Police's "Every Breath You Take." He hasn't had a hit record in years and is more notorious for his celebrity parties and clothing line. He's just famous for being famous. How he ever got to be any sort of celebrity is beyond me. But talent isn't a prerequisite in this day and age apparently.

To be fair, Puffy has continued to score pop hits under a variety of aliases, hitting the Top 10 as recently as 2007.

Please don't hold that against me. Ven, as long as your allegiance to the Bay City Rollers holds firm, we're good. It's not your fault that Poof Diddley shares your day. I feel for you, Vennie, I really do. At least you did something worthwhile with your life.
