BOOM!

The Complete Elfquest Project. What is it? An effort to post the entire Elfquest saga, over 6,000 pages worth, online. For free. And legally.

There are already 11 comics up. Every Friday more will be added. "There's over 6000 pages coming throughout 2008," they say.

Holy WOW, Batman!

Surf over to the link above for more info and FREE ELFQUEST COMICS.

This is going to be a great way to kill time at work.

Zoinks! I have a decent collection of Elfquest trades but I'm sure there are plenty of issues I haven't read. I will have to keep checking back.

Naturally my work proxy blocks the Elfquest site. :(

I did once get in trouble for reading ELFQUEST in class. Nude panels on that page, too.

I remember hearing about Elfquest when I first started buying comics, but I've never read a single issue. I'll check this out.

Start at, well, the start. The original epic arc is GREAT. Well worth your time.

I loved the hell out of that original story when I was a kid.

So did I. It holds up pretty darn well, too. Reread it two or three years ago and still dug it.

I've been picking up the Archives books but I haven't started re-reading yet. It's been... twenty years... since I read an issue of ELFQUEST.

I lucked out and found the first two volumes of the out of print oversized color graphic novels at a Goodwill 10 years ago. Still holds up today.

Awesome!

My babysitter's boyfriend had the whole set of original bound volumes and let me borrow them to read. They were already falling apart when I got my hands on them. The lamination on the covers peeled off very easily.

Yeah, that's happening to many early trade paperbacks. The glue and laminate just doesn't hold.

The ENTIRE 20-issue original saga is now online at the link above. Yep, all 20 issues of the so-called Original Quest, online, for free.

If you haven't read this, there is no better time than now. It's awesome. And it's free.

Me, I'm looking forward to them getting Siege At Blue Mountain and Kings of the Broken Wheel online.

The entire Siege at Blue Mountain series is now up online, meaning the 19 issues considered most essential are now online and free. They even include the columns and letters pages now!

A bunch of books from later series are also up, but whatever.

Guess it's time to not do much work today ...
