I can’t wait to hear the entire album.
Sparks are one of my favorite bands ever, and I’d rank their last album (Hello Young Lovers) up there with some of my other favorites from them (Kimono My House, Propaganda, No. 1 In Heaven, Angst In My Pants).
I even started looking at flights and rooms when those London shows were announced, but my current finances didn’t allow for even a short trip.

I hear you Dean, man if I had the funds I be there for those Sparks shows. Let's hope that they will be filmed. This will be an historic event.

As for the new album, once again their song titles are some of the funniest and most inventive. And another to add to the collection.

'Let The Monkey Drive'
'(She Got Me) Pregnant'
'Lighten Up, Morrissey'
'The Director Never Yelled Cut'

I would love to hear Morrissey's reaction for 'Lighten Up, Morrissey' who is a major fan.

And Ron always backs up the clever song titles with lyrics that are even more clever and witty. Many of my favorite lyrics come from Sparks songs.

Speaking of clever titles, 'Intro Reprise' also makes me smile.

If you've been watching the Sparks website, allsparks.com, you'd have noticed they were auctioning sponsorship for their London nights.

I bid and was lucky enough to have won the sponsorship for Exotic Creatures of the Deep.

I'll post photos and info for the night (June 13th) on my website, bearuk.com, as soon as I can after the event.

Bump ~ added pre-order links to the first post. So far this album has only been scheduled for release in the UK.

IIRC, the last two albums began as UK releases, and eventually came out in the states.

Looks like some (maybe all) the shows are playing live on the web. The first three have passed, but there are many other classics lined up. They've been going on promptly at 9PM in London (1PM if you are on the west coast)
