OK, no football, no baseball yet, the movies out right now suck (we could find nothing to see, I'll pass on "Witless Protection"), so I'll see if anyone cares to do this or not. Each Sunday (or maybe just today if nobody cares), I'll bring up an artist and see what 5 songs everyone would consider their favorite from that artist. No ties, no Top 10, just 5 songs. Could be interesting to see what different songs people come up with with only 5 songs to pick. Maybe I'll compile what the overall Top 5 were, if more than 2 people participate! And, if anyone wants, feel free to vote for your favorites up until Saturday and then I'll try a new one next week. Of course, if you want to vote afterwards by all means do so, I just won't be able to tally things up. Since Jackson Browne has his new "Solo Acoustic Vol. 2" out this week, I figure I'd start with him. My 5 favorites are (in no order): 1.)In The Shape Of A Heart (this is my favorite song from him) 2.)Somebody's Baby 3.)The Pretender 4.)I'm Alive 5.)That Girl Could Sing

This is a great idea for a thread series. Let's do it every week, like Jimbo's Friday List!

This was tough. I could've picked any of ten others and been just as happy to call them favorites. But here goes:

Nice thread, though admittedly Browne isn't one of my favorites. Nevertheless, here goes:

He's not one of my favorites either, but I love the idea for the thread.

Hey, thanks for everyone participating so far-keep 'em coming. I'll definitely do another one next Sunday, but more posts on this week's list are welcome! I'm not a huge Jackson Browne fan, but I do like quite a few of his songs, more than I realized in fact (I'm very pissed the 2 comps so far haven't gotten it right), and I know he has a lot of fans here, so with the new album I thought this was a good place to start.

Well, if I did this right (it was fairly exhausting to figure out) we had 17 different people vote, and 36 different songs made the cut. The Top 5 were: 1.)The Pretender (11 votes) 2.)Doctor My Eyes (6 votes) 3.)In The Shape Of A Heart (5 votes) Running On Empty (5 votes) The Load Out/Stay (5 votes) I'm not bothering with any tiebreakers, there's too many, so here's the Top 5. Don't know if I'll be up for counting the next one, but we'll see!
