Ireland will send a puppet to represent the nation in this year's Eurovision Song Contest. Dustin the Turkey is apparently well-known to Irish TV viewers, and scored a #1 album on the national pop charts.

I love this kind of silliness. You'd think that with hundreds of cable channels, one of them would pick up the contest and run it in the US.

Sounds a bit like Van Morrison at times. Rumour has it that the puppet may be headed to rehab and may not be able to attend.
