What's your favorite Wall of Guitars? Aurally, that is. I DON'T mean a collection hanging in a museum.

What's the most badass, fierce, noisy barrage of guitars you've ever heard committed to replayable media?

Mine has to be Oasis's "My Big Mouth" off of Be Here Now. UNBELIEVABLY loud guitars, with the amps cranked up to 12.

As Liam sings, "It was a sound so very loud, that no-one could hear."

I'm gonna say Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter on the intro to "Sweet Jane" from Lou Reed's Rock & Roll Animal. Maybe not the loudest, but the intertwining riffs build up quite a wall of sound.

I just played this yesterday, so it's still fresh in my mind-"Run Runaway" by Slade.

You have chosen wisely...

In a similar vein, I've always loved the interplay between George & John (and maybe Paul? It sounds like there could be three) on acoustics on "I'll Be Back."

That intro defines classic (actually so does the entire album). It's a shame Hunter/Wagner never did anything else even close to R&RA in quality. BTW, Hunter played with Reed on 2007's Berlin Tour. I've heard an audie from one night, & let's hope there's an official release. Lady Day just smoked & Hunter played a simplified version of the same solo in Sweet Jane.

I'm going to say the version of Ghost Riders In The Sky that was recorded by Hank Marvin & The Shadows.

One night I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd, & 2 other bands (I THINK it was the Outlaws & Montrose) all play Free Bird at the same time...................
