...try wild game! Our church just had its annual Wild Game Supper. There was wild hog, tasty rabbit, and excellent venison steak. And for those with timid palates, KFC. A good time was had by all.

My wife's father make a mean chicken fried venison. When at his ranch, the standard dinner is a catfish fry with catfish freshly caught by the grandchildren from one of three cattle tanks. Most excellent meal.

There is nothing like food for bonding! We have neighborhood potlucks here.
I'm too much of a city girl and latent vegetarian for wild game, tho. Hubby grew up on a lot of that - skerells, bunnies, possums and deer. It sounds like a great community event!

It was, and we had a great turnout. I plan to have a report of it at "The Writers' Block" soon, if anyone's interested.

I would try any and all of that stuff. I remain pretty much unexposed to the wild game world. I have never tasted rabbit or venison, and that stuff's not even especially rare here in the midwest.
