I read once about a British actor (I want to say it was Wilfred Hyde-White) who claimed to have been walking across an empty race track in the 1930s when he heard loudspeakers blaring out race results. He noted down the names of the winners, thinking that perhaps he'd been given a listen into the future. As of forty or fifty years later he still hadn't seen a race where those names figured and so had yet to make a killing. He had plans to leave a list of the names to someone he knew after his death if the "future race" was not run within his lifetime.

I was greatly amused by last week's Ashes To Ashes, in which our time traveling heroine D.I. Alex Drake is picked up for a date by a guy driving a DeLorean.
