Really! Batman and the Jay Garrick Flash? That sounds like something I would have come up with in one of my homemade comics. Plus Ordway on art - this is a must-purchase for me!

We'll see how Ordway performs next issue. For me, Ordway's best destiny has been as an inker. We forget that he's not nearly as dynamic as Perez. I remember when he and Busiek were doing the Avengers and Perez took a couple months off and Ordway took over. I was pumped! Then the issues came out and I was bored silly. Ordway's a wonderful artists but unfortunately, he's not that exciting as a rule and that really contrasts after a long Perez engagement. I'm hoping he's pumped up the action for this fillin. I still find it unacceptable that DC couldn't arrange for Perez to push back his next assignment so he could finish the damn storyline in the first place. More DiDioliscious ridiculousness.
All that being said, the above cover DOES look cool and I find the combo of Bats and Jay to be original and intriguing. I can't ever remember seeing these two really together before.

if they have, I didn't hear. It just seems like bad business. Let the guy finish the twelve issues and THEN put him on the new project. If he had a commitment to a different company, then it'd be a problem. But the same company? Yeesh.

I look at Ordway's work on All Star Squadron, Infinity Inc., Superman, Power of Shazam (RULZ!)... I don't see him as an inker. He's an awesome artist!

Ordway is an amazing artist.
A great storyteller.
In fact, his style is so unique, that as an inker he tends to overpower the pencils, and I prefer him as a penciller because of that.

They havent announced Perez' next project yet..but i agree with Rick...DC should have let him finish his 12 issues of B&B and then put him on something else....DC is really bad at giving us consistent art teams on stories these days...i dont like that..id rather wait a little longer and have one artist per storyline...oh well..
