Actual cover, or alternate (read: "spend five times as much to get your grubby hands on it, fanboy") cover?

I'm bored with Neal Adams and that hurts to say. I love his pre-1980s work, but since then he seems to be completely uninspired.

Did Neal Adams have a hand in designing the Tim Drake Robin costume, or is that another urban legend?

Well, I'm not actually sure if it's the actual or alternate (5x the cost) cover. So far, all I can find is it's his cover for #7. Here's one for a Showcase Presents: The War that Time Forgot

Not much commentary on the quality of the cover, which I'd say is excellent. Neal is a genius.

IMO that's a better Joker than Adams usually draws, but the pic just doesn't work for me. OTOH his cover to Clifford Meth's recent short story book is excellent.

That pic is great Pip. The Joker cover is okay.

More new Neal cover art...
THE WAR THAT TIME FORGOT #1 Written by Bruce Jones Art by Al Barrionuevo & Jimmy Palmiotti Cover by Neal Adams A lone USAF pilot, about to warn his superiors of the attack on Pearl Harbor, finds his craft suddenly crash-landing on a mysterious island populated with prehistoric creatures and soldiers of wars of the past, present and future — including Tomahawk, Firehair, and Hans Von Hammer, the Enemy Ace! What bizarre force has compelled these military masters of every era to inhabit the same strange territory? Can they survive without killing each other or being devoured by dinosaurs?

I was talking about this cover with someone and noted that Enermy Ace's ring finger is inexplicably longer than his middle finger. He pointed out that if looked like the thumb was on the wrong side, like he had originally drawn him with two right hands, then fixed. The corrections aren't even very good.

I've been less than impressed with most stuff Adams has done for quite some time. that being said, I wish he would have done the interior artwork on Salvation Run because after getting the first couple issues because of the concept, I've ditched it because the writing is so-so and art is really, really, bad.

Wow, that is really bad, and very noticeable. Clearly a bad paste job on the thumb without any attempt to make it look right.
