If you are a native "Child of the Canyons" like I am, or just salivate over iconic images, please do yourself a favor and purchase Henry Diltz' new book "California Dreaming" before its limited pressing (of 2,000 copies) runs out! I've been a huge fan of the work of Dezo Hoffman, Jim Marshall and Henry for years, and this is the first time I know of where such lavish care has been taken to present a specific region in all of its glory - especially when it's in your backyard. Henry regularly shows his images at many galleries throughout Southern California, but this book is a veritable goldmine of rare images I've never seen before. I opted for the deluxe edition, but it is also available in a limited edition version through Genesis Publications.
Friends have been ooh'ing and aah'ing over the Ethan Russell book on the Stones' 1969 tour; wait 'til they see this! (Time to buy an new box of white surgical gloves - smile).
