So there I was in my office minding my own business when one of the staff called me out to the circulation desk. There stood my sister-in-law who lives here in town, bearing a Valentine's Day gift from M.K. It was a singing Scooby Doo with balloons. I had to play it on the spot. So I pressed Scooby's paw and it began playing "Be My Little Baby," while Scooby said things like "Will you be my Valentine?" and "How about a little Scooby hug?" And it kept going and going right there in front of the whole library until I had the presence of mind to shut it off. "You should see how red you are!" said the employee beside me.

Today I looked through our collection of Scooby Doo books and ordered 8 more, including two comics digests. I had been planning to beef up that collection soon anyway. My little gift prompted me to go ahead and take care of it today. The Scooby collection was already here and popular before I got here, BTW.
I just got a phone call with this deep, sexy voice talking about going out with me this evening. I can't wait!
