2008 digitally remastered collection of the Scottish vocalist's early hit-laden years featuring her debut album and more. Since storming the charts at the tender age of 15 with The Isley Brothers' classic 'Shout!', reinvented in a Brenda Lee-like rasp of amazing power, Lulu has been a star. Collaborations with David Bowie, Jennifer Saunders, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Duane Allman, Bert Berns, Take That and the star is always Lulu! Unbelievably, she has charted in five decades. With notes by Brian Hogg, author of All That Ever Mattered, the definitive history of Scottish Rock and Pop, this will be a pretty definitive take on Lulu's first hit-making couple of years. Rev-Ola.

1. You Touch Me Baby
2. You'll Never Leave Her
3. I'll Come Running Over
4. Not In This Whole World

Note for Lulu collectors ~ Decca/London in the UK briefly released this album on CD in 1989, it was available for about a month  before it vanished again. Same bonus tracks. Rev-Ola's pressing above will be a new remastering of this material, and I'm hoping it will be all the original mono mixes. But for completists and people who prefer stereo, the old Decca/London CD contained several tracks in early stereo (real, not fake) where the instrumentation was a little different than the mono mixes ~ extra guitar parts in some places, missing guitars in others, different background vocals, etc. You can still get this old version of the CD through Amazon's third party dealers:

I had posted this video awhile back in the thread for Lulu's Atco Sessions collection, but it's actually more appropriate here since it dates from the Something To Shout About era. This has never been commercially released in any audio format AFAIK ~ it's a cover of The Beatles' "I Saw Her Standing There" (with the gender changed of course), and the instrumentation sounds very much like an unreleased Decca session with her group the Luvvers rather than a generic "television orchestra":

I actually found the Lulu "Decca" CD in a cut out bin a couple of years back at my buddy's store.
He laughed at me for buying until I put it on in the store. He got all bummed out and wanted it back!
I'm interested to hear the differences between the old version and the new Rev-Ola one.
